The second draft of the OpenSearch 1.1 specifications are now live at opensearch.a9.com. (OpenSearch is a set of simple formats for the sharing of search results.) This draft further simplifies and clarifies the 1.1 specification. We hope to solicit a last round of comments over the next several weeks leading up to the final release.

New in Draft 2:

• A unified XML namespace.
• Autodiscovery of OpenSearch engines.
• A means to declare recommended search queries.
• A public OpenSearch mailing list.
• A reorganized opensearch.a9.com website.
