If all things were right and good with Google's PageRank, Anil's site should be around the top of the list. The reason being, if "Nigritude Ultramarine" happened to be an legitimate and non-artificial search term, albeit a meme that rapidly sprang into existence, dashes.com is a content-rich site, and one that is ostensibly attracting inward links from hundreds of other content-rich sites. In other words, Anil's site, and his use of the search term, is probably among the most desirable search results possible (according to the logic behind PageRank). However, a quick perusal of the top results indicates that many of them are a direct result of search engine spamming. The real beauty in this experiment is that it shows just how manipulable PageRank has become.
