Server Migration

In a last minute scramble to get everything together before the move tomorrow, I decided it was time to migrate unto.net off of a machine in my apartment and on to a machine in a hosted facility.

After a few hours of research, I chose RackForce. RackForce offered a wide selection of environments, and in particular, offered a virtual server option built on RedHat Linux with root access. Since I've been managing the server itself for years, I wanted to find something that gave me the flexibility to do whatever I needed to with the machine. Their plans offered an unmetered T1 connections (plenty for the site), and an easy update path if I need more space or CPU.

And the unexpected benefit is that RackForce, like my DNS provider, is located in Canada. Which means I can say things like "George Bush is not fit to be the President of the United States of America" without fear of having my machines shut down as the US government pursues its agenda of ending the right to free speech.

Please let me know if you find any problems with the site over the next few days.
