Unto.net is undergoing some big changes.

First, the machines are being migrated from one hosting provider to another. Second, the software running the site is switching to WordPress. And third, there is a bit of a redesign going on. I will write something about each of these in turn to help explain why I made these choices.
There are obviously a number of things that will break in the process, though I hope to keep them to a minimum. Some of the more important links, such as the RSS 2.0 feed, will remain the same. Other links will be redirected. And a few, mostly to the photography, will change and not be redirected (a half-apology to those people still “borrowing” images). If I can, I will migrate some of the old comments, as they were the best part of this site.
The redirector is temporarily down, but I don’t believe that too many people are using it. Also internal links (from one post to another) are probably going to be messed up for a while, though I hope that redirects will catch most of them. And the photo galleries are gone until I pick a replacement for the plugin that I wrote for Blosxom — suggestions are much appreciated.
Thank you for your patience!

Also, I’d love to hear feedback about how things look/work in other browsers. I’ve only had a chance to look at it in Firefox on Linux and Mac OSX, so I’m unsure how the CSS turned out in IE. Not that I am going to go out of my way for IE, as I’m fairly certain my CSS and XHTML is valid.

Just fixing comments. My apologies to everyone that tried to comment before — please try again.
